EDF Renewables UK and Ireland has changed its name to EDF power solutions UK and Ireland.
This decision was taken to ensure our name better reflects the diverse mix of technologies we develop and operate, including onshore and offshore wind, solar and battery storage, as well as the services we offer such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), private wire and commercial and industrial solar.
While our name has evolved, our mission remains the same. EDF power solutions UK and Ireland is committed to developing and operating renewable technology projects to accelerate the country’s transition to clean power. Our goal is to deliver 10 GW by 2035.
We will also continue to work with businesses who share our passion about sustainability, supporting them in reducing their carbon footprint.
Our new name marks the next chapter in our journey – one that continues to deliver innovative, renewable energy across the UK and Ireland.
Q&A
No. Our name has changed but our focus and strategy remain the same. We have one of the most diverse technology pipelines within our industry and we will continue to develop, construct, operate and invest in renewables in the UK and Ireland.
As part of a global organisation, the change in the brand name had to work for all the countries where we have a presence. It also had to support the merger of EDF International Division and EDF Renewables, in areas out with the UK and Ireland.
EDF power solutions does exactly this, accounting for both our core business (generating renewable electricity – power), and the diversity of the offers we provide to our customers (solutions).
No, our ownership structure has not changed.
