Taduff Solar Park is a consented c.80MW solar farm project, currently under construction in Co. Roscommon
Planning permission was granted in August 2020 for a solar PV development in the townlands of Taduff, Drum and Curraghaleen, Co. Roscommon. In late 2020, EDF power solutions Ireland acquired the project (previously known as TDC Community Solar Park), and it currently consists of a c.80MW solar farm encompassing the additional townlands of Taduff East, Creagh and Cuilglass, as well as a battery energy storage system.
Construction of the project is now under way, and the solar farm is expected to be constructed and operational in Spring 2028.
Community
Once Taduff Solar Park is operational, we will establish a community benefit fund, which will see funds from the project go towards supporting positive local initiatives and activities. Since 2023, schools, community groups and youth organisations in Wexford and Kilkenny have benefitted from almost €100,000 of funding generated by our three solar farms in their areas, to create sensory gardens, refurbish sports facilities and rejuvenate local amenities.
