Burwell solar farm

Burwell solar farm is one of the first solar farms to become operational within the UK for EDF power solutions.

The 80 hectare site located in Burwell in south east Cambridgeshire has a generating capacity of 49.8 MW and connects directly to the national grid substation at Burwell.

Burwell Solar Farm is an important source of low carbon electricity and:

• Meets the average annual domestic electricity requirements of up to 9,500 households^*
• Supports the UK Government to meet its decarbonisation targets to reduce net carbon emissions to zero by 2050
• Resulting in a saving of approximately 21,641^** tonnes of CO2 emissions each year
